4th Annual Celina Expo Recap

Celina Enterprises held their 4th Annual Celina Expo on October 7th, 2009 at our location in Celina, OH. We had an outstanding turnout with a record number of 180 guests.

WHAT WAS INCLUDED IN THE 2009 EXPO?

TOUR OF TENTS AND DISTRIBUTION CENTER:

  • Celina presented a tour of tents explaining the difference between the many tent styles that Celina offers. Attendees were also able to tour Celina’s 30,000 square foot warehouse and distribution center located in Coldwater, Ohio.

   

TECHNICAL TRAINING SESSIONS:

  • Tom Markel (Owner- Bravo Tents - Buffalo, NY) presented generators & electrical requirements for events and NFPA & life safety training sessions.

   

TENT STAKING SEMINAR

  • Pete McVey (Owner- McVey Tent & Expo - Appleton, WI) gave an informative, hands on demonstration of proper tent staking methods.

   

PINNACLE TENT RACE:

  • Back by popular demand! Participants were timed on installing a 15×15 Pinnacle Cross Cable Tent. Clas Event Rentals won the 2009 competition for the second consecutive year. They received the 15′ x 15′ Pinnacle Cross Cable Tent for their winning efforts.

   

   

CELINA TENT GAMES:

  • New to this year’s events was the Celina Tent Games hosted by Pete McVey and Tonya. Participants competed in the fast pace tent lacing competition, stake driving competition, and the ever popular chair throwing competition.

   

   

   

TENT REPAIR & MAINTENANCE DEMONSTRATIONS:

  • Our experienced manufacturing staff presented informative demonstrations on tent repair, cleaning, and tips to keep your tent looking its best.

   

ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION:

  • We were very fortunate to have Peter McVey, Tom Markel, and Jim Erickson (Executive Director TRAM/TRAAC) participate in the informative round table discussion. This question and answer discussion was on trends and strategies for business growth and profitability in the tent and event rental industry.

   

PRODUCT DISPLAYS:

  • All of Celina’s products were on display. Products included Tents, Tables & Chairs, Rental Accessories, and much more.

   

SPECIALS:

  • Over $6000.00 in door prizes were given away!
  • A tent auction through out the day on all the display tents
  • Prices were lowered on selected Clearance items: We still have some left!
  • A special discount was given to the attendees on orders quoted during the expo
